About the Markdown Previewer

Markdown is a lightweight markup language that maps plain-text symbols to HTML elements: a line starting with # becomes an h1, text wrapped in ** becomes <strong>, a line starting with - becomes a list item, and so on. It was designed so that even the unrendered source text stays readable, which is why it's the default format for README files, GitHub issues, and most static-site blogs. This previewer converts your text to HTML with a small from-scratch parser running entirely client-side and re-renders on every keystroke.

To use it: type or paste Markdown into the left pane and watch the right pane update instantly. It covers headings (# through ###### ), bold (**text**) and italic (*text*), inline code (`code`), links ([label](url)), ordered and unordered lists, and GitHub-style task lists (- [ ] / - [x]). For example, typing **Done:** [x] Ship it as a task item renders a checked, disabled checkbox followed by bold and plain text. When you're finished, export either the raw .md source or the rendered .html fragment.
